JDN; Oh give me a break, I never said you were stupid, I said your comment was stupid - which it was. My wife is a nurse, we had a friend who lost his insurance and his daughter became ill. My wife was easily able to arrange for this young girl to get medical treatment even including free drugs, there are many programs already available for the young If your wife is a nurse, she knows darn well our health care system is broken. You might like the idea of waiting until a child is sick and then have the taxpayer pick up the cost as in your example - I don't. It is as inefficient as any in the world! Why not take care of the children before they get sick and have some kind of health care system that isn't broken? Doesn't have to be government run - only fixed. Your idea to let kids get sick until they qualify for care is extremely costly to taxpayers. Bet your wife preaches preventive care. It is inhumane and very costly to taxpayers. Steve
