The financial costs of Iraq, including indirect costs, are small compared to health care. And that per year. Iraq will end. Costs from health care will not. Overall the increase in government spending represented by having the government pay for all health care isn't just more than the cost of Iraq, its on a whole different level.

As for our system being broken, it is only if you consider every system on the earth broken. Europe and Canada are not without problems related to health care and health care insurance.

Also note that none of those countries really give an enforcible right to health care. They ration care. They don't really treat it as a natural right.
