Oil up 400% in 6 years. A commodity that costs ~$10 a barrel to get out of the ground selling for >$85 a barrel. It would take a complete idiot not to understand the stuff is running down and we better have an alternative or we are fuked. It amazes me that people still don't understand that oil production is unable to keep up with demand......and that's because many oil fields are running down. What really gauls me is that 'peak oil' is not a new concept. Geologists have worried over this issue for over two decades now. What has the American gov't done to mitigate againsts its impact? Little to nothing. They need to be held accountable. That includes the two political parties.
