GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: October 16, 2007
Gulf production has slipped 2% or 229 MMcf/d lower today as both Louisiana and Texas volumes declined. After reaching 600 MMcf/d on Sunday Independence Hub has dropped back down to 535 MMcf/d. As a result, Tennessee flows are down the most in Louisiana, followed by Transco and Trunkline. NGPL volumes are down 21%, or 69 MMcf/d in Texas. Total Gulf production has dropped back below levels at the same time last year (down 2%) with the biggest declines in Texas (down 8%).

TEXAS ENERGY BULLETIN: October 16, 2007
Henry moved up 62.5 cnts to $7.09 while Ship Channel lagged behind, up 60 cnts to $7.02. That brought Henry to 6.8 cnts over Ship Channel.Waha was up 66 cnts to $6.80. That dropped the Ship to Waha differential to 21 cnts from 28 cnts on Friday. Flows moving from Ship Channel to Waha jumped by 127,000 MMbtu. Socal came in to only 1 cnt over Waha from 12 cnts on Friday. Socal was up 55 cnts to $6.81.Panhandle was up 50 cnts to $6.38.Permian to Waha flows were up again, today moving up 96,000 MMbtu to 304 MMbtu. Implied heat rates moved up to the 10-11 range.

US POWER - GAS BURN REPORT: October 16, 2007
US gas burn jumps by 2 Bcf this morning to land at 20.3 Bcf, an 11% gain over yesterday's I2 cycle. Yesterday's I2 nominations rose 687 MMcf from yesterday's evening cycle. The RFC and FRCC put on the most weight today, with RFC up over 126% close to 1 Bcf. FRCC jumps 146 Bcf to 2.5 Bcf. The NPCC follows behind the others with a gain of 109 MMcf, while ERCOT and the SPP also show a gain above 60 Bcf.Burn for the EIA week ending 10/18 is still projected at a low 125 Bcf, 45 Bcf less than the week ending 10/11.
