We are sunMicro stockholders. When they(IT, Sun equipment users) have lost data, we tell them to tell Sun service to use boundary lubricant. then we don't have break downs any more. Boundary lubricant is a technical term that all metallurgists know. Due to vibration(contacts rubbing) the oxygen in the atmosphere will oxidize copper(18k gold is half copper) and create high resistance. Boundary lubricant application will prevent oxygen from reaching the contact area. Not every computer has contact resistance problems. Only large mother boards, or vibration(resonance) modes are not suppressed or designed out.
