John - I posted part of IBD's "New America" article a few days ago on another thread. I'll get back to you later and include more information.

" Some 7,000 surgeons do meniscus repairs in the US. Bionx has been training about 150
each month. As of June,near 1,500 surgeons were using the arrow. Sales of the
Meniscus Arrow hit $2.3 million in the first quarter alone - the same amout generated in
the second half of 96. UBS securities analyist Samuel Navarro, expects arrow sales in
the US to reach $13.1 million this year and $34.2 millionin 99. US surgical corp has
developed an implant similar tothe arrow which could hit the market by the end of the
year, analyists say.

The real excitment about the company, besides hving a very clever first product, they
have a proprietary hold on the basic technology. They're the only ones that can make
self-reinforced, resorbable implants in this exact way. Johnson & Johnson had challenged
their patent but it was upheld.

The company sells nine products lines, consisting of more thn 100 screws and pins for
orthopedic, urologic, facial and dental surgery. It plans to file for approval to sell several
other products this year.. They include shoulder repair anchors and tacks and a screw to
fix hip fractures. They make all their products in Finland but soon they will move some of
their operations to the US."
