Having shorted the market in 1999-2000, I can only say that blow off tops turn into bull runs which turn into further blow off tops and so on. One thing that helps is to watch for when shorts have been so thoroughly whipped and demoralized that they start to go long.

However, shorting isn't allowed in China (it's also illegal to be reincarnated as a spiritual leader without prior government approval). How that changes things is an unknown. Perhaps stuff never goes down again? Maybe blowoff tops are less sustainable but retracements are deeper? Difficult to know.

I read something about a type of tea in china that is being bid to the sky, so naturally you could study tulips and see where we're going.

One thing for sure...if you think the US employs a ppt team then you aint seen nothing set.
