Now I think I finally understand it. The queen became a Marketimer subscriber sometime in 2000. The first time she followed Brinker's advice was when she got the QQQ bulletin. She lost a small amount because she didn't have huge cash reserves since she didn't sell in January. It also helped that she didn't take Brinker's follow up advice to maintain the position. I think she only followed Brinker's advice once and lost money. This is a significant departure from other Brinker fans who claim they only followed Brinker's good calls.
