We'll see. I see a potential trading setup for a significant
dollar bounce into the low 80-s and a significant stock, oil, and
gold dump. Everyone (the bulls and the bears) are loaded on
Ben's Weimar run, while the ABX indexes (subprime) are making
new lows, and BKX index (banks) is not looking good at all.
Were the Fed's cuts just for the heck of it, and did they
work their magic in 2 months? We may see shortly. Maybe that's
completely wrong, I don't know, as there are few real reasons
to be bullish on the dollar, except that everyone and
their mother have already shorted it, one way or another.
Possibly another run to new
highs for stocks, as the dollar is still dropping, but these
markets are never a 1-way street. Recession is a possibility
soon. The dollar should not stay up, but it might have a
bigger bounce. Yen will then outperform on the upside.
