--No, that is NOT what I did. I sold two mutual funds in 1999. One was an emerging markets fund which I thought might be hurt by Y2K. The other was a tech fund which had doubled in a ridiculously short time.

The two combined were a small part of my total portfolio.

AFTER Brinker's call, I sold some more. Then I continued to sell off gradually through the year, culminating in the sale of another tech fund (which had TRIPLED in a short time) in July or August.

I went from about 80% stocks to about 30% over the course of about a year, partly on my own volition, and partly because of Brinker.

You need to understand that most of us just listen to Brinker for input, but make our own decisions, right or wrong.
