The minority who approve of Bush are "cavemen," but the smaller minority who approve of the Dem Congress "desperately want to believe our democracy still works."

I am really sorry you are having difficulty dealing with reality. People who still support Bush, and apparently, that number has dropped to 24% in the latest poll, have to be partisan ideologues..there can be no other explanation for their continued support of a president who is so incompetent. Those who continue to support Congress cross party lines and are desperately hoping that there is something left of our democracy. What's frightening is that that group is an anemic 18 percent of the voting population. We are in big trouble whether you are able to recognize that fact or not.
