"I think all these wingnuts are so bitter because in Bush, they got the authoritarian redneck President of their lifelong dreams, ready to take American military power and "kick ass", but everything he's touched has turned to shit." They aren't that far along. In their minds, the reason things have turned to shit is because they were stabbed in the back. If everyone had come together and sung "Kumbaya" and just shut up as the wheels came off, things would have turned out better. Conveniently ignoring the fact that Bushco got the longest free ride of any president. There was little opposition to any of his policies until it was brutally clear that he wasn't even merely incompetent. Like the attempts to blame the Iraq war on the Democrats. Now, true, they were incredibly stupid to give him the authorization to do it. But Bushco was bound and determined to attack Iraq, the only way to've stopped him would be to shoot him. In retrospect, that wouldn't have been a bad idea. But hindsight is 20/20.
