GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: October 18, 2007
Independence Hub production has gone to zero today due to planned maintenance that's expected to last another day or two. Production from the Federal Offshore Louisiana area today is down 3% or 142,000 Dth/d. Flows on most of the Gulf pipelines other than Tennessee, which receives Independence production, are relatively flat today. Total Gulf production is down 2% from levels at the same time last year.

US POWER - GAS BURN REPORT: October 18, 2007
US gas burn drops by 1.1 Bcf today to hit 19.8 Bcf in total, a 5% decrease over yesterday's I2. Yesterday's I2 nominations rose 557 MMcf from yesterday's evening cycle. Burn in the WECC has dropped 219 MMcf as a cold swath of air dips down into the region. NPCC burn also drops by 197 MMcf as cooling degree days wither. FRCC burn is down about 72 MMcf, while SERC remains relatively high at 1.4 Bcf. RFC burn is hovering right below the 1 Bcf mark in our sample.
