James;

Bio fuels are a disaster, no matter how you look at it...

What is wrong from wringing out a few gallons from such things as sawdust which for the most part are now only waste? There are an awful lot of waste products that are now turned to garbage - this could and should be converted into energy. A few companies are developing bacteria to do the work - through genetic engineering.

The US can be in the forefront of this technology - if it is encouraged - or they can be at hind tit as other countries will walk in and do the technology. Sell the technology James! .....I would argue the same applies to biotech research. We can do it and be in the lead or we can let another more progressive country walk all over us. Your choice. Right now they are starting to walk all over us - China, Japan and Europe on the biotech. Grrrr!
