if everybody uses wood, how long can the island sustain you?

if the population remains as is,
a long, long time. the logging industry
has just shut down. there's lots of wood.
to try and get it legally, that's the
problem.

why stock up on olive oil? because
of the cost of shipping? yeah, that
would make sense.

i'm not sure what the shelf life is.
i think you start counting after you've
opened it, no?
