I disagree Searle.

The issue here was really political opposition to blind support of Israel. The investment arguments were just window dressing.

You must realize that Palm Beach County has a very large Jewish population and I am sure Derba knew the bond sale would be approved.

But the fact that he was willing to come out against it in public speaks volumes about rising opposition to the Israel lobby (even if much of this still is simmering below the surface)
