Well, you are a Canadian Blackie. You are the exception. it is that simple in our country. The Republican and Democratic parties are pretty much two seperate populations e.g. in the presidential race the most liberal Republican is by far more conservative than any Democrat.

And in the senate it is the same thing. The most liberal Republican is more conservative than the most conservative Democrat.



The one mistake you are making,IMO, is that you need a certian size government to enact your social and healthcare ideas.

Cannot have government programs without government-lol.
