I'm inclined to believe that it's more of a trick than a test. Most interesting to me were the types of people who could make the dancer twirl either way.

My comments:

Forester, Retired, skilled in spatial concepts. Clockwise most of the time, but if I look away and track her with my right eye I can see her going counter-clockwise. Also starts going counter-clockwise sometimes when I start to analyze how this trickery was engineered.

I am inclined to believe that a dumpy male silhouette would be a better test. The shapely female allows one to stare too long.
