It seems like universal healthcare in this country should be similar to education. Education is mandatory. K-12 is free.

What is the problem?


Oh, Mary...

Do you really think that K-12 education in this country is something to aim for? Yeah, it's mandatory, nominally. Yeah, it's free. But is it good? Marginally adequate, maybe. Is that all you want from your health care, which may be life or death? Is that the model we want?

(Hey, maybe we could take all the drop-outs and the pass-throughs from the education system and install them in health care jobs.)
