Thanks for the many replies to this query. Does anyone see any patterns in the REO content ? Will it be biased toward first time home buyers with lower end properties to sell or more senior properties. It seems to me the junior properties would be the larger base of REOs compared to the upscale housing if only because the upscale housing usually involves people who are more cognizant of biz. and RE pricing cycles. Granted that greed blinds the rich more than the poor but still I think an upscale property market will be less affected by REO resale activity than houses of lower end markets. Besides the wealthier market players should have more resources to protect themselves and drag things out longer.
