Even after last weeks surrender, I'm back in the lead for the most points scored. I did well this week, won 81-134. I defeated a team I've been trying to make a trade with for the last few weeks, he kept saying no, my WR are untouchable, and didn't want to upgrade his RBs. This week, his WR had average games, while my team had a solid game except for Rackers 1pt.
Ben Roethlisberger: had a great game, I'm thinking more teams are going to stack the box to stop Parker, and force Ben to beat them. He almost beat Den, but came up short. I'm glad i have him. Solid producer.
Frank Gore: He had a 100 yd week combined yardage. He had some nice gains called back due to penalties, otherwise, I think he would of had over 100 yd rushing. He looked good hit the hole fast. I'm keeping him unless I get a trade I cannot refuse. With the offense trying to stretch the field a little makes it easier for him. I was concerned when he left the field, but was impressed on his performance after he had his ankle taped. I think he's playing this weekend.
LenDale White: Had a great game, got plenty of touches and wore down the defense. He should keep producing as long as he keeps getting the touches. I say give him the rock 30 times a game :)
Brandon Marshall: Had a decent game against a good defense. He can still produce without Walker on the other side. Now if he can just stay out of trouble off the field...sigh.
Randy Moss: Studly...he went off and beat double coverage twice in the endzone. I'm happy to see Brady confident enough to give him a jump ball bomb twice in double coverage. Always a start.
Kevin Walter: What a great pick up. I was worried that he had crappy numbers for the 1st part of the game. When Hou started moving the ball, his numbers went up dramatically. If Hou wants to win, they have to give him the ball, at least until Johnson gets back. I'm starting him against SD.
Dallas Clark: He's one of the best TE this year. Solid producer who found the endzone again.
Neil Rackers: Had an off week, missed a +50 yarder at the end of the game. Maybe I should pick up a new kicker as he is a little inconsistent.
NE DST: They did well, another solid performance. It would of been better if Cassel didn't throw the pick during garbage time. Although my Sea DST that I dropped had a monster game against Stl...if they were only more consistent, I would of kept them and used the Pats as trade bait.
My bench was Henry/Young: Good move as neither had a good game against Pit strong Def...Henry has bruised ribs, I'm thinking he plays, as when he was with Buf he had torn cartiliage and bruised ribs, and he was performing like a trooper.
Curry: Had a so so game even though he had a TD. He dropped a few passes that he should of had for a nice gain. I was glad to see that Culpepper kept going back to him after the drops showing that he still had confidence in his ability. Makes me think Culpepper has a preference to throw to Curry over Porter.
We'll see what happens, I need a kicker due to Rackers bye week. I may just drop Rackers and pick up the Ten or Buf kicker. I have a trade out there for LJ, as the LJ owner also had Ronnie Brown, and needs to get a RB to fill LJ's bye week. We'll see what pans out.
This next week, keep an eye on Morency. He had another week to rest his knee as he is coming off a bye week, and he is playing against Den. Den cannot stack the box against GB as Farve will pick them apart. I'm guessing he plays a larger role than before...my sleeper for the week, even though, he'll probably sit on my bench, as I'll start Gore vs NO and White vs Oak...both should have solid numbers.
Ben is a must start at QB vs Cin, he should put up some numbers, although Parker will have a good game.
Moss is a must start.
Walter should be a good play. I don't see Hou running the ball against SD, the back up QB was able to connect with him, so with either QB I think he'll have a decent game.
Marshall should have a decent game vs GB. I'm a little concerned if he'll be distracted by his DUI. I may bench him this week to play it safe...as I think Walter or Curry will produce similar numbers. I'll decide later in the week.
Curry should have a decent game against Ten. Oak won't be able to run the ball well against them, but they can pass on them like Hou did. I'm leaning toward starting him.
Clark is a must start, Peyton looks for him, and he is getting open. It was such a money trade...people thought I over paid for him, by giving up Colston. I've replaced Colston's production with other WR, and am getting 10 more pts a game from my TE. Definitely one of my best moves this season.
Pats DST: Must start every week. They should get Seymour back soon...and get even better...BooYahhhh!!!
I have a trade out there with Henry/Young/Ward for NE kicker and LJ. I'm probably over paying, but I should be fine whether the trade goes thru or not. NE kicker is more consistent, and will make my team better. People don't value the consistency of a kicker. So I maybe able to get him for Ward even if he doesn't want to trade LJ. If not, I'm not too worried, as I'll drop Rackers and pick up a kicker. There are a few so so kickers available.
Branch is on a bye week, and should be back the following week...although he may still sit on my bench when healthy.
I may try to make a trade for Alexander. He is really stinking up the joint recently, but remember that Branch has been out the last few weeks. I think he's lost a step, but defenses are keying on him too. With Branch coming back after the bye, his production might increase. It is a gamble, but could be worth the risk.
bwdik?
That is all for now.
Best of Luck,
