I see no undue country risk in Latin America as far as mining is concerned, maybe with oil but we aren't too concerned with this as there is almost no correlation. I don't understand that statement. Can you prove this statement with some facts?

I must have been less clear in my post than I thought, because you are all missing my point. I suggested that the difference in valuations of two similar-sized deposits could be due to investors' perception of country risk, and indicated their possible assessment of the country risk for the two deposits. Claude suggested that Chile is safe, and I agree, but there are many investors, even some on this board, who will NOT invest in any deposit outside of the US, Canada, and Mexico.
