Israel nukes do not threaten arabs so how do they threaten iran? They are there as a final option in 2 cases. One is where israel is about to be overrun by arab armies (not likely) and the other is the acquisition of nukes by a rogue state who threatens their existance (iran). So how does acquisition of nukes help iran when israel has 400 bombs? It doesnt. What it does is give them supposed prestige of being in nuke club and more importantly gives shiaa arc more clout vis a vis weak arab states. Its designed to make it easier for iran to get its way in the mideast. Perhaps also to check sunni pakistan and the possiblity of pakistan falling to the islamists with al quaeda sympathies and hatred of shiaas.
