<All the guru's agreed that fiat is doomed, and yet to a man they said, "stay out of debt".>> Uh yeah. Dollar falls. Things get more expensive. You lose your job or income. Boom. Hard to cash flow that extra debt you took on for the 4X4 or boat or trip to Europe or the new kitchen with marble counters and cherry cabinets. So I say buy the stocks as you suggest but do not take on debt you never know when the party may be over.
