Of course there aren't. If they were nearly as bright as they think they are, they'd realize that an area which gets swept by fire on an annual basis isn't going to have trees worthy of the name.

If they were as well informed at they think they are, they'd know that many of the plants in the area have been touted for biodiesel because of the large percentage of lipids they produce. Lipids being a better way to store energy because they require less water to produce than starches.

But, that would require being reality based. And, you know, knowing about what they are talking about.
