Nadine, This is a special situation. APF had a rights offering earlier this year and shareholders showed up carrying ropes at the annual meeting. The stock went to a deep discount and a frightened management promised that there would be no further offerings until they made up the damage they had done. "We have heard the shareholders loud and clear," were the exact words. Now, I don't necessarily think they are trustworthy, but the more sophisticated investors who bought the fund at the bottom will throw the rascals out if they try another scam within the year. So, I have bought after they bombed their own fund. The portfolio mgt. is still superb. MB
