Kathryn Gannon, a former X-rated actress also known as Marylin Star, fled to Vancouver after securities regulators alleged she used inside tips from her investment banker boyfriend to make illegal stock trades. Gannon, 30, is considered a fugitive.

Gannon's former lover, James McDermott, 48, is the main defendant. He was a married executive who ran the Wall Street firm Keefe, Bruyette and Woods when he met Gannon in a strip bar in 1996. He has since been forced to resign from the company.

Securities regulators say McDermott passed information about upcoming bank mergers to Gannon, who then used the tips to make $88,000 US in trading profits.

Investigators also allege Gannon passed on the tips to another boyfriend, Anthony Pomponio, who also faces insider trading charges.
