VIASPACE Security to Sell and Service DMT Radar Surveillance System PASADENA, CA -- 10/24/07 -- VIASPACE Inc. (OTCBB: VSPC), a company that transforms proven space and defense technologies from NASA and the Department of Defense into hardware and software solutions, announced today that its VIASPACE Security subsidiary has signed an addendum to its teaming agreement with DMT (Detection Monitoring Technologies Ltd.) of Sterling, Virginia.
DMT is a global leader in providing complete radar security solutions. The AIMS "Area Intrusion Monitoring System" family of radar security surveillance solutions was developed for wide area security, waterside security, base security, and border applications. The AIMS solution is based on an X-Band pulsed Doppler radar using advanced detection algorithms designed specifically to detect targets representing intrusion threats under wide area perimeter surveillance. The AIMS system is currently installed worldwide as an integral part of national and border patrol defenses.
The new addendum establishes specific terms between the companies for VIASPACE Security to re-sell AIMS hardware, to develop and sell software upgrades and to establish a services group for installation, set-up and maintenance of hardware and software comprising the AIMS system. VIASPACE Security may also integrate the AIMS system with other sensor technology extending both is functionality and capabilities as a fully integrated perimeter security monitoring solution.
