Bad news for oil stocks due to royalty change may be very good news for PM stocks as managers rotate and try to keep beta. This oil decision is beyond goofy and naive. A sliding scale that takes away the upside will lead to an exodus. As far as the TSX goes over 60% of the index is energy and financials. Gold may have to save the day as US financials are in crash mode and the whole economics of the oil sands just went to crap.
