Analyst: Verizon on pace to hit 2 million FiOS subs
Verizon Communications says its two-year-old FiOS service is adding 2,600 subscribers each business day, and one analyst predicts that customers will top 2 million by the close of 2008. That progress is giving the cable industry reason to pause: "Verizon is real," said Comcast Chief Operating Officer Steve Burke. "Verizon is taking video customers from us."
