Precisely, ElMat. This is what was happening before all that "Axis of Evil" crap and the invasion of Iraq. The US has to simply accept the possibility that Iran may join the nuclear club, and remember how well MAD worked in the confrontation with the USSR. Apart from Ahmadinejad's rhetoric, which should be seen as just that, there is no reason to think that Iran will be any less rational in how it handles its power than any other great nation. Well, there is reason to hope it might be more rational than some.
