"what could be done to strengthen the dollar?"

Let's review the past few years.

Plan A Action: Public comment of the US Strong Dollar policy
Plan A result: dollar decline from 120 to 110

Plan B Action: Reiteration of the US Strong dollar policy
Plan B Result: dollar declines from 110 to 90

Plan C Action: Proclamation of the US Strong dollar policy
Plan C Result: dollar declines from 90 to 80 and rebounds slightly

Plan D Action: Declaration of the US Strong Dollar Policy
Plan D Result: dollar breaks decades old support of 80

Plan F Action: Continued support of the US Strong Dollar policy but being happy about the decline
Plan F Result: F... Dollar at 77 and circling the drain

So what will Plan Gee be? I'm kind of guessing pissing into the wind followed by another proclamation of the permanent Strong Dollar Policy.
