Seems the fixed disk might or might not be there depending on who and when talking about it. Forgot to say the 10/100 NIC is a definite and the case is very mini. Intended for use on a network. Trying to find more info. Also mentioned by 2-faced darting squirrel CEO that possible market is rent-a-box option for larger internet providers.

Was mostly wondering if the Linux OS and/or RISC processor might pose a problem for system administrators.

<<except for having to conform to whatever DNS,NIS or DCE infrastructure that the company is using.>>

Don't know NIS, and DCE. But I think your answer is that it's okay as long as they stick within some standards and play by network rules.

The hobbyists should love it. I can just hear 'em saying: "well I mostly use UNIX, but.." to all the Window Heads. Wouldn't take much to turn the concept into a really sweet standalone.

Lemme get back to findin' the bone in this stew. Thanks for the input. Did I get it right?
