I'm halfway through a 17 day vacation in Europe, mostly in Spain. I've spent the last four days driving between three cities in southern Spain (two more to go) and my gut feel (no quantitative data available) is the real estate bubble here on a per capita basis dwarfs what's happened in the US. The construction cranes are everywhere and there are a tremendous number of half finished condos that densely populate the southern coastal cities. Coincidently, last night in a Marbella hotel CNN had a special on the RE bust in Marbella. It's truly ugly.
