You're right, easiest way is in your following post, just do a cambio from F-usd to E-loonie accounts, there seems to be no limit on amount, as it's internal from their point of view ...they ding you pretty hard for each one though, near one per cent, spread they quote seems to be one point eight something ... i had a big usd-debit from accumulating Metalline while leaving credit in loonies, but covered a while ago at near a near a dime more expensive, aargh, seemed like a good idea at the time, it did lower net cost but left a lot on the table ... the carrying cost of six per cent in interest differences was irritating

Where the idea of selling mr.to/buying mrb.amex came from was watching mrb trade a few per cent below where i'd bought mr.to, thought of locking in a capital loss, which would be real handy this year ... got to hope that they don't question my organising of cap gains/losses by ticker and not by company, though -g-
