I don't know if anyone has listened to Pairgain's conference call last quarter.....but here is what I remember hearing in conference calls and reading in analyst reports while working for an asset management firm this summer.

Pairgain had to deal with Adtran....stealing customers possibly....they are competing PURELY on price.....That is what management at PAIR was indicating....if they are competing purely on price, what margins to they get......??? The last thing you normally do is cut prices....I've learned that much......you try to vary service, features, etc...to preserve margins and help EPS.....

Just an opinion
