I just wanted to make a general comment about the problems that have been reported with Leopard installations. My comment is that I don't recall any major OS upgrade shipped by any vendor that did not entail some serious problems for some users. That includes each upgrade of OS X.

Every time there's an upgrade like this, there are reports of problems for some people. Every time, there are people who ask why Apple (or Microsoft, or whomever) doesn't test these things. And every time, there are those who say Apple (or Microsoft) has gone downhill in terms of quality, and that X or Y is distracting them from their true mission, or that they've gotten too big and just don't care anymore.

Just an observation.

I do understand how frustrating and upsetting it is when an upgrade doesn't go well. And certainly no computer should ever be "bricked" by an upgrade it meets the minimum requirements for.
