The question is, how much publicity will be generated by such a small number of chips. Also sub $1000 systems (999ish) won't be that big a deal by Q1 next year. CPQ will probably already be making sub $700 MediaGX based PCs which would get all the attention. I just can't see any good coming from this. From the IBm deal yes, from this one.. no.

Now if it was PB or someone like that, that isn't already using an alternate chip in the sub-1000 level and it was the first time in a while they had used a chip in the cheap computer area then I would get excited... but this is nothing new and nothing exciting.
