In fact, neither of us know what's real and what isn't real when it comes to CO2 and GW. What we do know is that things have taken an unpleasant turn. Given what's at stake, its seems to me that its best not to fool with Mother Nature.

For once you're right we don't really know - but the other unpleasant fact is we won't be able to do anything substantial to reduce our emissions for some time to come - carbon credits are voodoo feel good crap. From several reports we contribute 4/10ths of 1% of all CO2 each year - so reducing that number even by half is not going to make a big dent. Climate researchers believe it takes decades or centuries for CO2 to work it's way through the system.

The good news from the following chart relating CO2 and world temps is no matter if CO2 increases by 20X, world temps seem to hit a plateau, so earth won't turn into venus, but we may need to adapt a bit. Another interesting point from the chart is we are at historical lows in both temp and CO2 - so it's sort of silly to think they would remain there regardless if humans existed or not.
