The 4 story Nokia store in Shanghai sure sounds bigger than the typical Apple Store.

Also, how many "flagship" level stores does Apple have and have planned? I'd guess the New York Fifth Avenue location counts as one. Any others? Besides self reporting, what would be a good criteria to designate a store a flagship? Very large area in square feet or retail space? Dominant relative presence in the mall/neighborhood/city?

The Nokia Flagship store in Manhattan is pretty lame, IMO. It's reported to be on Fifth Avenue, which is a huge shopping area. But, it took me a half hour to find it because it's actually in a skinny storefront just off Fifth Avenue, on 57th Street. I must have walked by it three times before I noticed it. It has three floors but not a lot of square footage. Lots of duplicate products. I think I was the only customer when I visited.

The Apple store is a block away. They probably get a 100 visitors for every one visitor to the Nokia store.
