Thursday October 9 12:51 PM EDT Saf T Lok Inc jumps on handgun news NEW YORK, Oct 9 (Reuter) - Shares of Saf T Lok Inc, a maker of handgun locking devices, soared Thursday on news U.S. gunmakers agreed to provide child-safety locks on new handguns. Shares in the Tequesta, Fla.-based company were up 2-11/16 to 3-1/8, a rise of over 600 percent in heavy Nasdaq trading. Earlier Thursday President (Bill) Clinton said eight major U.S. firearms manufacturers agreed to provide child-safety locks on new handguns.
