Not really. It does not tell me whether there are bad yields at Intel or that they have problem with a customer or both. A customer is complaining that Intel mobile chips are in short supply. AMD gaining share in the mobile market could be an effect of a shortage of Intel mobile chips, but it does not tell me what caused the shortage of the mobile chips. Or is the customer just disgruntled? Or did Intel underestimate how many chips they needed to produce or did they misjudge the channel's inventory. All of these should cause some level of concern with a diligent Intel investor.
