Rice comes to mind as our rep and Sistani from the Iranian side

Rice speaks for the Bush administration. Sistani, though born an Iranian, is an Iraqi living in Najaf. He does not speak for the mullahs of Tehran at all.

This amounts to wishing an easier and different situation into place, since you don't want to even think about the existing difficult situation.

Unfortunately President Bush doesn't have that luxury.
