After they have to sell 100M shares to stay alive through Nehelem? Then what? What's in the works that will save AMD? I believe its Nehalem isn't it? Nehalem is a 45nm part coming 2H 08 if Im not mistaken. Around the same time AMD will have its 45nm Shanghai quad out. Intel will have to compete with AMD at the same process node and AMD will have a year of Quad manufacturing under their belts. Not to mention Intel will be implementing IMC and their version of Hypertransport on their first native quad. Speaking of Hypertransport, is that IP seperate from the x86 cross license agreement? Can Intel access that IP? IMO Intel will have a hard time competing with AMD at the same process node especially with the challenges they face with this new arc.
