As for not suggesting how to improve things, why do you think anybody outside of the Palestinians themselves could or should make the improvements?

Well of course it would be better if Pal efforts for improvement came from within. It is their lives and happiness that are in question. But you ask why should outsiders help? Come on, that's just human nature for some of us.

But I still wonder why the people of Gaza don't make their own effort at national self-determination in the new nation of Gaza, abandoning the non-Gaza Pal refugees to their own devices, and demanding massive UN/USA/Israeli aid in exchange? That's what I'd do! They get funds, get control over their (albeit smaller) group of people, and go down in history as the founder of the nation. It's so obviously desirable to the alternative (give up leadership back to Abu Mazen and pursue the near impossible contiguous Pal goal) I'm surprised its seldom even discussed.

But, since they don't do that, and don't even seem to bring it up, it shows how out of touch I am with these clowns. I can theoretically understand how some idealogues think it better for their million people to waste their lives dedicated to destroying Israel rather than building Gazastan, but your average human is not an idealogue. Your average human just wants to feed his kids and eat some decent food in a reasonable home.
