Re: You passed on the "why"? part

Why do I think that way?

Because it is a HUGE legal boon and advantage that the legal system has (perhaps illegitimately) granted to the corporate organizational structure, offering many legal protections such as protection from self-incrimination in legal investigations of criminal wrong-doing, and many others.

It massively affects the entire society --- and the world at large. It shames the very reality that we live in....

And, of course, it is a legal fiction (and a result of some very questionable judicial activism, if not out-right fraud: a right that was never granted by legislative authorities in law, but was established by judicial fiat). Corporations are NOT 'human beings'. :-)

Since reducing the society's rate of taxation on the corporate structure to ZERO would ALSO be a huge boon for the corporate structure... that is why I think it might be reasonable to trade one for the other....
------------------------------------------------------------

Even before the turn of the Century (when that legal fiction was slipped into a Supreme Court decision by a clerk, after the decision had been rendered), thus enshrining the 'human with infinite life' legal presumption and massively increasing the corporate structure's power --- this had been said:

"Corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money-power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in few hands and the republic is destroyed." --- Abraham Lincoln
