My only debate, John, is with myself and with the reality I'm trying to figure out. Other people's thoughtful opinions do not distract me, for the most part they help. I had a chance to observe hyperinflation in eastern Europe in 1992, and what I discovered was that hyperinflation and deflation was one and the same. I saw prices go down to ridiculously low levels when priced in Western currencies - even as they were skyrocketing in their domestic money. Fascinating stuff.
