That doesn't mean we will run out of oil. However, it does mean each new barrel of oil will take more effort and resources. That does suggest the end of cheap oil is here. While prices will continue to move quickly, $100 oil does seem like reality.

Hell, it seems like a reality next week. Our economy hanging in the balance and we have no meaningful alternative strategy or policy.

If you want to see just how bad our politics is, just look at energy policy. It has been obvious this was going to happen for years, and now we are actually turning the corner and still these idiots can't take the 'plain as the nose on your face' actions that will avoid a catastrophe.

It's absolutely ridiculous... and they wonder why their approval ratings stink. These guys won't act until we are in a full fledged depression.
