No..............the freeze would get them.

I have the Acorns in the outside fridge in the veg bin, and put the butternut in my pantry which is on an outside wall and stays kind of cold all winter as long as we keep the door closed.

I read how to treat them after harvest somewhere on line. This is the first year I've done this. The article said that Acorns are more perishable, but that the butternuts (if stored properly) should last me all year. I'm going to serve one or the other at Thanksgiving.
