Sorry, I always take half of my explanation for granted ... What I meant was NOT USING ANY COMPONENT FROM MSIE.

I don't want to take this discussion into MS-bashing, but MSIE IMHO is the most buggy crashprone piece of junk ever given away free (lest sold).

I again installed (and removed) MSIE as according to your instructions followed by wsx... The result is consistantly the same:

STOCKWATCH.EXE caused fault #c0000005 in MARKETSPY.OCX at address 014f:017fb2c1

To date, 6 fatal errors have been recorded in this program. This particular error was recorded 6 times.
